Founded in the mid 80’s, Saddleworth Sub-Aqua club welcomes all newcomers whether already SCUBA qualified or complete beginners. Our membership requirements are small and are described in more detail in the Club Membership section - suffice to say that the only membership conditions are that you are over 14 years of age and can answer a simple medical self-certification.

As you will already have seen, we offer numerous diving activities within the UK and whilst you will have got a flavour of some of the things that we do, then take a further look in the Club Activities section where you will find our current diving calendar, reports of diving weekends written by our members and photos of our trips past & present. There is also a club diary or (B)log which details what our members have been doing on a month-by-month basis.

Finally, the club has acquired a range of equipment and diving accessories to support our activities and which are freely available to all members. Some items, such as diving equipment, we try to restrict to use by our trainees as equipment is expensive and we do not expect trainees to pay for their own gear so early on in their diving career! The club also has its own small boat from which we regularly dive during the summer.
