Hello, and welcome to the website of Saddleworth Sub-Aqua Club!

If you've made it this far, then you must already be a qualified diver. Whether you learnt to dive whilst on holiday, or have dived before in the UK but not participated for a while, then we are able to offer you membership of an active UK dive club.

Whatever qualification you have, you are able to dive within its limitations. You may be asked to have a check-out dive with one of our instructors, but this will usually be just a part of a normal dive. If you are a little rusty, or not completely sure of what to do, then our club instructors will help you, free-of-charge, to bring your skills up to a competent level where you will be happy to dive in UK waters.

You are also able to further your diving qualifications, either within the widely acclaimed BSAC training programme (we make no charge for instruction – just the training materials), or you may carry on training with your current qualifying agency (PADI etc.) and still dive with our club up to your new diving status.

We have a wide range of dive trips during the summer months – April to October – and our training carries on year-round. There should be more than enough diving opportunities to keep you happy – we always ask for feedback from our members, so if there is something which you particularly want to do, then mention it and we’ll see if we can make it happen!

Membership is open to all subject to a minimum age of 12 and the completion of a medical self-declaration. Saddleworth Sub-Aqua Club is an affiliated branch of the British Sub-Aqua Club, the governing body for the sport of Sub-Aqua Diving in the UK. As such members need to join the British Sub Aqua Club, but in return they receive the benefit of belonging to the world's largest diving club.
